Principal Attorney, Ashley Negrette

Attorney Ashley Negrette is a first generation lawyer and the first in her family to finish college. She completed undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majored in International Development Studies. She then received her law degree from California Western School of Law in 2013 and passed the bar exam on her first attempt.

Attorney Ashley is a strategic lawyer who lends creativity and common sense to complex legal problems. She has been trained by the best and is ready to fight for you. In July 2019, she completed the intense 7-day Family Law Trial Advocacy Program at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) in Boulder, Colorado, to master her trial skills.

In July 2021, she was awarded the "NITA Advocate" designation which is reserved for attorneys who have demonstrated a well-rounded foundation in legal advocacy. Her skills include taking and defending depositions, conducting direct and cross-examination of witnesses, arguing motions, and much more.

In March 2024, Attorney Ashley was officially designated as a Certified Specialist in Family Law by the California State Bar. As of December 1, 2023, there were only 1,369 family law attorneys with this designation in the state of California. As of March 2024, there were 196,263 actively licensed attorneys in the state. Attorney Ashley is among the elite in this practice area.

She has been designated as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, an honor given to just 2.5% of lawyers in California. She has been quoted in the San Diego Union Tribune and has been featured in Forbes, Fortune and Entrepreneur magazines. In 2024 she was designated as a Super Lawyer.

Attorney Ashley has secured favorable decisions in consequential cases for her clients. During the pandemic, she won the approval of an O-1B Visa for a very talented music performer out of Los Angeles, CA. This was an exceptional win because USCIS was routinely denying performance visas as concert venues were closing and music tours were being cancelled due to government shut down orders.

In addition, Attorney Ashley won a one-day trial on Christmas Eve after her divorce client waited for over 8 months for his hearing following court closures due to the pandemic. The opposing party and her family member filed two domestic violence restraining orders against her client, and they lost. Attorney Ashley examined six witnesses and after closing arguments, the Court ruled in favor of her client; he was awarded attorney’s fees.

In her free time, Attorney Ashley enjoys hiking, kayaking, cooking and spending time with her friends and family.
